Confidentiality and Safety
All information will be treated confidentially and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I hold a Data Controller registration with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
Information will be kept confidential unless the client and therapist agree to share information with a third party. Please let me know if your child has been assessed recently by another occupational therapist as some standardised tests are invalid if repeated within 6 months.
Private therapists are regulated by the same professional bodies as NHS therapists to ensure we meet the required standard of care. My experience, qualifications and licences necessitate DBS clearance.
Good Start Hutchings abides by the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and is committed to safeguarding practice that reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice requirements. A full safeguarding policy is available on request to the company.

Emma Hutchings Occupational Therapy is a trading name of Good Start Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, under number 11416345.
My services will be governed by a therapy contract with terms and conditions which will be provided to you at the time of engagement, along with my fee structure.
